My Deal Finder FAQ's

1. Do prices include taxes, are they return fares?

  • Prices include all airline taxes and surcharges and are return fares per person.
  • For Trans Tasman flights we display two one-way fares which may be on different airlines to ensure you get cheap return trip combinations.

2. My alert shows me the same airline everytime…

  • The purpose of these alerts is to find you cheap flights during your selected period. In some cases, one airline will frequently provide cheap flights to a particular destination.
  • If the airline is a low cost carrier (such as Jetstar or Pacific Blue) and you want to exclude them from your alerts, you can "select airline must include meal and movie" when setting up your alert. You can edit a current alert by clicking the ‘change’ link at the bottom of any email alert.

3. How do I search for the flight advertised in My Deal Finder?

  • Click on any price within your email alert and you will be sent to a page, pre-populated with flight details. Here you can confirm your desired travel dates, number of passengers etc.
  • Click the ‘Search Flights’ button to search availability.

  • It will send you to the ‘Manage My Deal Finder Fare Alert’ page where you can edit current alerts or create new alerts.

5. How do I extend my departure dates?

  • It will send you to the ‘Manage My Deal Finder Fare Alert’ page where you can edit current alerts by simply clicking the change link.

6. How do I unsubscribe?

  • Click the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of any email alert.
  • It will send you to the ‘Manage My Deal Finder Fare Alert’ page where you must click unsubscribe from your alert(s).

7. Why can’t I find the flight on the website?

  • If you are unable to find the fare advertised in My Deal Finder email alerts, it’s possible that the flight has sold out.
  • The flight prices are based on most recent searches from customers. Therefore, the time between the email being delivered to your inbox, and you clicking and searching (even if it is only 10 mins) is enough time for another customer to search and book that particular flight.
  • It is important to search for the flight as soon as you can secure it at the best price before seats sell out.
