Medical claims abroad can be expensive. If you have pre-existing medical conditions, please let us know and we can confirm whether we are able to offer cover.
What are pre-existing medical conditions?
They include conditions that have been treated in the past and may be currently stable but may be exacerbated by the travel. This may include conditions treated many years ago. Travel insurance only covers overseas medical events that are unforeseen. Medical conditions that were pre-existing at the time of the policy being issued are not covered, unless they are a condition that we expressly agree to cover.
If you have a pre-existing medical condition that is not covered, we will not pay any claims arising from, related to or associated with that condition.

Disclosing Information About Your Health
Before you can purchase the policy, you must declare any pre-existing medical conditions. If something happens while you're abroad and you submit a claim, your insurance company may be able to reduce their liability under the claim, decline your claim or both because you did not inform the insurance company about your pre-existing medical conditions.
We assess a range of medical conditions to evaluate whether we can provide cover for it. Yours may fall into one of the three following categories.
1. Conditions automatically covered at no extra cost with Webjet travel insurance
There are 36 medical conditions we may cover at no extra cost.*
View the list of pre-existing medical conditions we may cover in the Product Disclosure Statement. Please note that you must not have been hospitalised with the condition (including day surgery or emergency department attendance) in the 24 months prior to the date your policy is issued.
2. Conditions not automatically covered with Webjet travel insurance which require assessment
