Routehappy offers an unbiased flight rating system for every international flight on Webjet. It is presented as a ‘score’ in search results. A score will range between 0 – 10, and is based on flight amenities that are present on the aircraft, plus relative leg duration of the flight compared to all other possible options. You will be able to view a score per Leg of travel, as well as an overall score which is based on the relative total duration compared to the fastest leg on a route and number of stops.
Flight Score components
-
Aircraft layout, seat, and amenities such as Wi-Fi and fresh food
-
Duration compared to the fastest option on a route
High scores (7.5 and above)
To achieve a high score, a flight or trip needs to index above average in layout, seat, amenities and/or duration compared to the fastest option possible on any given route. Higher scores help flyers find their best options, making it easy for them to incorporate product attributes into their buying decisions in addition to price and schedule. This is great for airlines, too: Flyers will know about the products you invest in and be able to use that information when choosing a flight.
Basic and lower scores
Basic flights without amenities or with space saving seating score on the lower end of the rating system, often between 6 and the 7.4 in economy. Flight Scores go lower when a trip is meaningfully longer than the fastest options on a route, such as a trip with an especially long layover or two stops.
Lower scores reflect trips that are significantly longer than other options. This makes it easy for airlines to communicate the fastest itineraries to flyers and help them avoid the longest ones. Lower scores help set flyer expectations and steer them to higher-rated products — including options on the same airline, such as better seating.
