Virgin Australia class types are split over two cabins: Business Class and Economy. Their classes have different inclusions and facilities. Discover which cabin class best suits your needs before your next flight:

Economy Class
Enjoy the value-for-money comfort and options of Economy class. If you are travelling for business or leisure, Virgin Australia's regular flights provide convenient and economical options. Economy guests travelling on domestic services will enjoy complimentary food, a selection of beverages and up to 23kg of checked baggage. Additional premium beverages, spirits and gourmet snacks can be purchased from Virgin Australia's retail menu.
Economy X Class
Economy X offers a more premium experience at the airport and onboard, within the affordability of Virgin Australia's Economy class. Arrive ready having experienced enhanced benefits by adding Economy X to your booking including extra legroom, preferred overhead locker space, priority boarding and priority screening (where available).
Business Class
Business class guests experience second-to-none space and comfort, and exceptional inclusions. Virgin Australia's fully inclusive fare allows you to feel at home in their spacious Business class cabin; where you can relax in (or work from) your luxurious leather seat, and enjoy premium food and beverages from their exclusive onboard Business class menu. Onboard their Boeing 737 aircraft you will also enjoy a comfort pack**, containing a blanket and pillow, and stylish amenities*.

Check in or drop your bag off at our Priority Check-in+ facility at the airport. If you are travelling with only carry-on baggage you can opt to check in at the Virgin Australia lounge instead. As a Business Class guest you are invited to board the aircraft first, or at your leisure. When departing from selected domestic airports, you may take advantage of a dedicated Priority Boarding lane (available at most gates).

*Earn double Velocity Points on eligible bookings: Double Velocity Points offer is valid for Velocity members who book an eligible Virgin Australia Flight via the Webjet Australia website between 00:01 (AEST) 30 May 2024 - 23:59 (AEST) 5 June 2024 (“Promotion Period”) , unless sold out prior. An Eligible Flight is a Domestic, Trans-Tasman or International Short-Haul flight marketed and operated by Virgin Australia flown between 00:01 (AEST) 30 May 2024 and 23:59 (AEDT) 31 December 2024 inclusive, and booked and ticketed in a fare class that normally accrues Velocity Points. Bonus Velocity Points will be earned on base Velocity Points earn only. Silver, Gold and Platinum members will earn their tier bonus Velocity Points separately. Bonus Velocity Points will be applied to the originally purchased fare class. Any upgrades (other than those for which you paid the full commercial fare) will not attract bonus Points as a result of this offer. Bookings can be made on the Webjet desktop site, mobile site or using the Webjet app. Bonus Velocity Points are awarded to the Velocity Membership number used per eligible booking during the Promotion Period. A valid Velocity membership number must be entered at the time of booking to receive bonus Velocity Points and must be the passenger travelling on the Eligible Flight. Please allow up to 4 weeks after completion of travel for Velocity Points to be allocated to your membership.
