Batik Air is a rapidly expanding Malaysian-based airline with its main hubs at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, KLIA Main Terminal and Subang Skypark, the convenient KL downtown city airport in Selangor, Malaysia. The airline took to the skies in March 2013 with domestic flights in Malaysia and has since grown to operate routes to all major airports across the continents of Asia, Australia and the Middle East. The airline has also obtained the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA).

Fleet

Batik Air fleet consist several different types of aircraft, catering to the needs and requirements of the different flights offered. The fleet of Batik Air consists of 8 ATR72-600s, 26 B737-8/800 NG aircraft, and 2 A330-300 aircraft. Batik Air effectively manages 800 weekly flights across an expanding network of 52 routes within the region. Notably, the B737-8 aircraft, configured in a single class, accommodates either 180 or 189 seats.

Fly Direct from Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur

Batik Air is delighted to announce the launch of a direct A330 flight from Kuala Lumpur (KUL) to Melbourne (MEL).

The seasonal flight schedule, available up to end of February 2025, caters to the rising demand for travel to Australia during the peak holiday and travel season. This service will be utilising the latest Batik Air modern wide body A330 fleet, ensuring an exceptional travel experience for passengers, with seats available in Economy and Business Class.

The flight takes off from Melbourne (MEL) four times per week - Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The return flight departs Kuala Lumpur (KUL) four times per week - every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
