Things to do in Havana

Immerse yourself in Havana’s Spanish heritage by strolling through the picturesque cobblestone streets of Plaza Vieja. The brightly-coloured Baroque-style buildings are home to local restaurants, art galleries, shopping, and more. Spend the day exploring one of the great symbols of Havana - Morro Castle, the fortress standing guard over the entry-point to Havana Bay. Discover its historical significance while enjoying views of the city across the bay. For an evening of refinement, book tickets to an opera or ballet performance at the beautifully-renovated Gran Teatro de La Habana (Grand Theatre of Havana). This Baroque building is known for its magnificent ceilings and neo-classical statues. If the weather permits, take a tour of the city in the vintage American taxi cars seen on postcards.
