Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) is one of the largest transportation hubs in Southeast Asia. It's a hub for regional airline Singapore Airlines, as well as Scoot, Jetstar Asia and SilkAir.
One of the cheapest ways to get from the airport into Singapore is with the local bus. Routes 36 and 36A run from terminal 1,2, and 3 and cost S$2 ($2 AUD) per person. Another affordable option is the MRT train. For S$1.74 (just less than $2 AUD) you can ride into the city, but you'll need to change lines at the Tanah Merah station to get to your final destination. Taxis are the fastest way to get into Singapore’s CBD. A trip costs around S$20 ($20 AUD) and takes 20 minutes. You can also book a spot with the Changi Airport Shuttle when you arrive. It runs 24 hours a day and costs S$9 ($9 AUD) per person. The shuttle departs the airport every 15 to 30 minutes and collects passengers from all of the airport's terminals.
