How to Get from Singapore Changi Airport to Your Singapore Hotel or Accommodation
Singapore Changi Airport is located approximately 19 kilometres from the city centre. The quickest route into the city is on the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) train. The station is located in the basement of Terminal 2. The train from the airport to the city is not a direct line, so when you get to Tanah Merah station you will need to connect with the Green line. Get your ticket at the MRT station. Fares start from S$2.50 ($ 2.50 AUD) and the trip from Changi to City Hall Station takes about 30 minutes. MRT services run from early in the morning until late at night every day and trains arrive about every 10 minutes. Public buses are another cheap way to travel from the airport into Singapore. Ticket prices start from S$1.80 ($1.80 AUD). Have exact cash ready for the driver as change is not given. Bus number 36/36A will take you into the city. You can catch the bus from the basement of Terminals 1, 2, and 3. The bus is slower-paced than the train and the journey may take upwards of 90 minutes. Buses run daily from from 6am to 11pm with service approximately every 10 minutes. Taxis are available outside each Terminal. A ride to the city takes about 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions. Budget about between S$30 and S$50 (up to $50 AUD).
