Many resorts and event companies in Queenstown offer coach trips to popular tourist sites like Te Anau, Manapouri and Milford Sound. Local Connectabus services are also a reliable and affordable way to navigate Queenstown and surrounding areas.

The best time to visit Queenstown is during the summer months (December to February), as the days are long and full of sunshine, and temperatures are relatively mild. Although the weather during the shoulder seasons can be quite unpredictable, you can find cheaper rates towards the end of autumn and still enjoy mild weather. Winter is a popular time to visit among skiing fanatics, as the snow and crisp, clean air make for excellent skiing and snowboarding conditions.
