You'll find the cabs waiting outside the arrivals hall, or you can buy a local sim card to download the Grab app. Trips to Phuket Town cost between 600-900 THB ($24 to $38 AUD), and you'll have to pay an airport surcharge of 100 THB ($4 AUD). For budget travellers, the Phuket Airport Bus is the most affordable option. The bright orange buses run from 6:30am to 9:30pm every day. Fares start from 90 THB ($3.70 AUD). If you're heading further afield to Patong Beach, you can take a shared minibus taxi. The ticket counters are located outside of the Arrivals Hall and cost 180 THB ($7 AUD) per person. Keep in mind that this option will take the longest as you'll have to wait until it's your turn to be dropped off.
