Perth Guide

Airport Information Between Adelaide Airport (ADL) and Perth Airport (PER)

Departing Adelaide Airport (ADL)

The fifth busiest airport in Australia, Adelaide Airport (ADL) has a single terminal for all domestic and international flights. The major domestic routes from Adelaide airport include direct flights to 12 domestic locations, including all major Australian capital cities and popular holiday destinations like the Gold Coast and Cairns.

If you’re driving to Adelaide Airport and plan to leave your car there for the duration of your stay in Perth, note that there are two different parking options:

  • Undercover Terminal Car Park: Spaces cost $84 AUD for three days and $132 AUD for a week with a two to four minute walk to the terminal building, making it a convenient option.
  • Outdoor Parking: For passengers that want to save some money, you’ll be able to park your car in the outdoor lot for $54 AUD for three days and $78 AUD for a week. The walk to the terminal in less than 10 minutes or catch the free car park shuttle.

If you're on a tight budget, the cheapest way to get to the airport from the CBD is with the public bus. JetExpress and JetBus both operate regular services to and from the airport, 7-days a week. Metered taxis and ridesharing services are also available with a single trip setting you back AUD $13-$17 and takes 20 minutes if there is no traffic.

Arriving at Perth Airport (PER)

Home to both domestic and international terminals, Perth Airport (PER) is Australia’s fourth largest airport, and the most active airport in Western Australia.

For budget travellers, the cheapest way to get into the city from Perth Airport is with the local bus. If you're arriving at T1/T2, take route 380, or route 40 if you're starting your journey from T3/T4. But if you're short on time and have room to splurge, buy a ticket for the faster express shuttle bus.

If you want to take a taxi to your hotel, you'll find the ranks outside the domestic terminals. A one-way ride into Perth usually takes about 20-minutes and costs around AUD $42-$52. Ride-sharing services also operate from the airport, and you can use the free WiFi to request your lift.
