Arriving in Osaka


Your return flight from MEL to KIX will see you land at Kansai International Airport (KIX). A second city airport, known as Itami Airport (ITM) handles only domestic routes.


 

How to Get from Osaka International Airport to Your Osaka Hotel or Accommodation


Kansai International Airport is located about 50 kilometres from the heart of Osaka. You can get to the city centre from the airport by taxi, bus, or train. The 70-minute train ride to Osaka Station from the airport will cost ¥1190 ($14.60 AUD). Travelling by bus is also an economical choice. Purchase a ticket from the vending machines stationed near the exit and then hop on the bus out of the Terminal 1 exit. The journey from the airport into the city takes about one hour and tickets cost ¥1550 ($19AUD). Taxis to the CBD will run more than ¥20,000 ($245 AUD) and are available outside the Terminal 1 exit.
