Indira Gandhi International Airport is located approximately 16 kilometres from the centre of New Delhi. If you are in a hurry, take the Metro Express subway into the city. The journey takes 25 minutes and trains depart roughly every 15 minutes throughout the day. The fare for a one-way ticket into the city is about INR 60 (less than $2 AUD). Taxis are convenient for travelling into New Delhi however be aware of scams and avoid getting ripped off by using one of three official taxi operators found outside terminals 1 and 2. Look for Meru Cabs, Mega Cabs and Delhi Airport Taxi Services. Travel time is about 30 minutes but varies with traffic conditions.
