A one-way trip from the city centre costs on average $45 to 55 AUD and takes 20 minutes if there's no traffic.

The easiest and best way to get from BOM to your hotel is with a taxi. There are two types of cabs available at the airport: metered and prepaid taxis. If you want to avoid any hassles, use the prepaid option as the fare is fixed. Alternatively, Uber is also available at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. Meet your driver at the designated pickup point outside the arrivals hall and use the free WiFi to request a ride. If you're on a budget or you have time to get get to your hotel, you can take a bus or a rickshaw from the airport to one of the nearby train stations. From there you transfer to the line that will take you to your final destination.
