The terminal that you’ll arrive into at Melbourne Airport (MEL), also known as Tullamarine Airport will vary depending on the airline you have flown in with. For Qantas flights, you’ll arrive at Terminal 1, for Virgin Australia flights, it will be Terminal 3, and for Tigerair flights, it’ll be Terminal 4.

The most direct way to get from the airport to your hotel is with a taxi; taxi ranks are located outside the arrivals terminal, and a single trip into town usually costs AUD 56-62 depending on traffic.

Rideshare services like Uber also operate from the airport; meet your driver at the rideshare pickup zone in the forecourt. For those who’ve flown in on Jetstar or Tigerair, your pickup zone is on level 2.

The most affordable way to get to your hotel is to take the SkyBus City Express service. It runs 24 hours a day and leaves the airport every 10 minutes. A one-way trip wil only set you back AUD 10.
