There is no train station at LAX itself but there is a Metro train station close to the airport called Aviation/LAX. You can get to the train station by a free bus called LAX Shuttle bus G. If you choose to take a taxi to downtown LA prepare yourself for a half an hour ride that will cost $30-$35.
