Getting to Sydney Airport

Short on time? The fastest way to get from the city to the airport is with the train. All you need to do is top up your Opal Card at the nearest station and take the T8 Airport Line. The trains run every day from 5:00 a.m. to midnight and leave every 10 minutes.

For budget travellers, one of the most affordable ways to get to the airport is with the public bus. Route 400 goes from the CBD all the way to the T1 and T3 terminals for only AUD 5.60 one way.

If you don't want to use public transport, take a taxi or request a ride with Uber. A single trip costs around AUD 45-55 and takes 20-minutes if there's no traffic.

On a budget? Leave your car at Blu Emu. It's a 15-minute ride away from the domestic terminals, but it offers the lowest rates for travellers. Plus you don't need to catch a taxi to the airport; you can simply use the 24-hour shuttle bus.
