Short on time? The fastest way to get from the city to the airport is with the train. All you need to do is top up your Opal Card at the nearest station and take the T8 Airport Line. The trains run every day from 5:00 a.m. to midnight and leave every 10 minutes.
For budget travellers, one of the most affordable ways to get to the airport is with the public bus. Route 400 goes from the CBD all the way to the T1 and T3 terminals for only AUD 5.60 one way.
If you don't want to use public transport, take a taxi or request a ride with Uber. A single trip costs around AUD 45-55 and takes 20-minutes if there's no traffic.

P1/2 are ideal for short trips to Hobart. Both lots are only a 5-minute walk to the domestic terminals and offer the best deals for weekend trips.
P3 is the best option for longer trips to Hobart. The parking lot has a discounted rate if you book online and is an 8-minute walk to the check-in counters.
On a budget? Leave your car at Blu Emu. It's a 15-minute ride away from the domestic terminals, but it offers the lowest rates for travellers. Plus you don't need to catch a taxi to the airport; you can simply use the 24-hour shuttle bus.

Getting from Hobart Airport to Your Hotel
If you don't want to take a taxi, book yourself a spot on the Tasmanian Redline City Hotels Shuttle bus. You will be sharing your ride with your travellers, but your fare will be cheaper.
Metered taxis are located outside the terminal building. The trip will take about 20 minutes depending on traffic and cost around AUD 35. If there aren't any taxis available, the phone numbers for other cab companies are listed inside the terminal by the baggage carousels.

Things to Do in Hobart
- Hike Mount Wellington. It's one of the most popular attractions in Hobart and should not be missed. While it will take three hours to summit, you'll be rewarded with one of the most beautiful vistas in Australia.
