Getting to Sydney Airport

The quickest way to get from the city to the airport is with the train. The T8 Airport Line leaves every 10 minutes and runs from 5:00 a.m. to midnight every day.

If you're travelling on a budget, take the local bus. It costs AUD 5.60 per person and route 400 runs directly to the departure terminals.

Ride-sharing services like Uber and metered taxis are also available. A trip to the airport will cost between AUD 45-55 and take 20 minutes depending on the traffic.

There are three parking options available at Sydney Airport.

  • Go on a whale watching tour. From July to November, the humpback whales travel up the Queensland coast towards the Whitsunday Islands. Hervey Bay is one of the best places in the world to witness the migration as these gentle giants stop to breed and nurse their young in the calm waters.
