Things to do in Dunedin
Pay a visit to Larnach Castle located near the settlement of Pukehiki. The large mansion is full of history, great architecture, hand-carved furniture, and world-class art. The gardens are meticulously maintained and the view from the terrace is amazing. Take a walk back to the times of gold mining and whaling at the Toitū Otago Settlers Museum. The mock living space of early settlers includes a real horse carriage. Get a tour of the private, working conservation reserve that houses the rare yellow-eyed penguins.
