Best time to visit Dublin

The best time to visit Dublin

Dublin experiences four distinct seasons. Summer is the high season in the city and lasts from June to August. This is a busy time in Dublin as tourists visit the city from all over the world. To accommodate the large number of visitors, hotel prices increase during the summer. However, summer is also when you will experience the best weather in Dublin. There is lots of sunshine, and temperatures average about 19°C during the day.

For the best deals on hotel rates, you could plan to visit Dublin in its low season of winter. Temperatures get chilly, averaging about 7°C during the day and 2°C at night. Rain is more common than in the other seasons, and the city can also see some snow. Since winter isn’t a busy time in Dublin, hotels lower their rates, so you’ll have more money to put toward Dublin activities. Plus, if you need to warm up during the day, you’ll have no trouble finding a museum or a quaint Irish pub where you can escape the cold.

If you would like to experience warm weather as well as lower prices, you could look into cheap flights from Perth to Dublin in the spring or autumn. During these seasons, weather is mild, and the sun is often out. Hotel rates during the spring and autumn are lower than they are in the summer, and you will have fewer tourists around. The only exception to this is the week around St. Patrick’s Day on 17 March. This is a huge Irish holiday, and people travel from all over the world to celebrate it in the Irish capital. Hotel rates go up during the holiday, but this is also an incredible time to experience Dublin if you are able to find good deals.
