Dublin International Airport is located 12 kilometres from the city centre. The fastest way to get into the CBD is with the Aircoach. It’s a 24-hour service that takes 25 minutes to reach the city centre. The bus leaves the airport every 15 minutes between 3:15 am and 11:55 pm and every outside of those times. If you want to get to your hotel as cheaply as possible, take the public bus. Route 41 services the airport and stops at Terminal 1 every 10 to 30 minutes. A single fare to the CBD is €3.30 ($5 AUD), and you must have the exact amount to board the bus. You can also take the express public bus. Route 747 takes up to 40 minutes to go from the airport to O’Connell Street. One-way tickets cost €6 ($9 AUD) or €10 ($15 AUD) for a return. There are metered cabs available at the airport. You’ll find the taxi ranks waiting outside the Terminal 1 arrivals building and a trip will cost between €25 to €30 ($40 to $47 AUD).
