Once you have reserved your cheap flights to Bali, all you need to do is to get to the airport. Perth Airport (PER) is 10 km east of Perth’s Central Business District. It is a short 20-minute ride to the T1 terminal area from the business district by car or taxi, if there is no traffic. If you take a taxi, it will run you about AUD 45. It runs every 30 minutes, it doesn’t stop at every station and it isn’t a 24/7 service. You are advised to check the timetable.   • For shorter and longer stays the value parking at Perth Airport (PER) is the most affordable choice. The prices are sometimes more than 2 times cheaper than the other parking services. It is located a short distance from the terminals. To get to the terminals you can use the free shuttle bus service that runs 24/7. There’s a bus every 10 minutes.

  • If you do find yourself in a hurry for a short trip you can use the short-term parking service. It is about a 5-minute walk from the terminals, but the cost is considerably higher than the long-term parking.

The Bali airport is only a few kilometres from the southern tourist locations and resorts. The capital of Bali, Denpasar, is also very close to the airport. International flights will arrive at different terminals depending on the air company. The nearest resort city is Kuta, which is only 2.5 km away. There are a few ways to get to your hotel without much hassle.

Getting from Bali Airport (DPS) to Your Hotel

Once you have collected your bags after your cheap flights to Bali has landed at the Denpasar airport (DPS), you can grab a taxi next to the information desk in the International Terminal. There you can pay a fixed price at a kiosk, towards most tourist locations and resorts. Be aware that these prices can vary heavily due to the season. To get to Kuta, for example, can cost anywhere between 50,000 and 150,000 Indonesian Rupiah, which is between AUD 4.7 and AUD 14.3. The people at the kiosk should have good English and you will be provided with good service.

If you don’t choose this option you can try using one of the taxis outside but they are mostly not metered taxis and you will have to haggle with the drivers.

Another option is the Sarbagita public bus which sends a bus about every 30 minutes. They are quite cheap, but not a very good option if you have a lot of luggage. The bus stops at major roads and costs less than an Australian Dollar.

Uber is also available in Bali, but if you want to rent a scooter or car, those options are also available at the airport. Plus Priority is a shuttle bus service that comes recommended by tourists. You pay roughly AUD 35 and get to use the service for 5 days. They have their routes and schedules, and as long as you have their card you can hop on or hop off of any of their busses. It is a good service because it covers most of the island. You can purchase a card at the Denpasar Airport (DPS) or any of their lounges at the airport.
