Airport Information Between Brisbane (BNE) and Auckland (AKL)

Departing Brisbane Airport (BNE)

Brisbane Airport (BNE) is one of Queensland's busiest airports. Located only 22km from the Brisbane CBD, it is easily accessed by private car, rideshare, taxi, bus, or train service.

The cheapest way to get to Brisbane Airport is by bus. Routes 569 and 590 run from the Central Business District to the airport every day. If you want a faster option, you can book a direct airport transfer shuttle from your residence or accomodation, however, this will be more expensive.

The trip to Brisbane airport from the CBD is quite car-friendly, and only takes around 20-minutes, traffic depending.

At Brisbane Airport, there are a number of parking options available:

Park Long: If you’re planning on leaving your car at the airport for longer than an hour, choose this option. The bays are close to both the domestic terminals and check-in counters

Park Premium: If you wish to pay extra (for a bit of convenience), upgrade your parking to the premium option. Located on level 3 of the P1 domestic car park, you’ll have exclusive access to express entry and exit ramps.

Park Valet: Another premium parking service offered by the airport for those who don’t want to waste time in the airport carpark. All you need to do is park your car in the valet area and one of the attendants will take care of the rest.

Arriving at Auckland Airport (AKL)

Auckland Airport (AKL) is the largest in New Zealand; theres two terminals, one domestic and one international, both fully equipped with everything you need upon arrival: duty-free shopping, restaurants, free WiFi, ATMs, travel services and more.

When looking to get to your accommodation from the airport, note that Auckland Airport has organised a 24/7 transportation service called SkyBus. This service will take you to the city centre for about NZD 18. Alternatively, you can catch a public bus.
