How to Get from Schiphol Airport to Your Amsterdam Hotel or Accommodation
In light traffic, Schiphol Airport is just a 15- to 20-minute drive to Amsterdam’s city centre. A taxi ride will run about 39€ ($62 AUD). Taxis can be found outside the main entrance to arrivals or at the train station level. It always takes approximately 20 minutes from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Centraal Station via train. Train fare is 5.40€ ($9 AUD) and trains run every 10 to 15 minutes between 6am and 1am. Services runs hourly outside those times.
Alternately, the Amsterdam Airport Express bus leaves the airport from platforms B15-19 every 10 to 15 minutes from 5:15am and 1am. The fare is 5€ ($8 AUD) and it runs direct to Museumplein, Rijksmuseum and Leidseplein. Bus service is less frequent on weekends.
