Penang Island Jazz Festival
3 - 6 December 2015, 10.00am – 11.00pm
Bayview Beach Resort
Held annually every first week of December, this year the dates are 3 – 6th December 2015. The festival features local and international performers from USA, UK, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Brazil, Hungary, Indonesia and more performing at Bayview Beach Resort and at fringe stages at various other selected venues throughout the island. Artists from the jazz and big band genre use this event as a platform to showcase their music in a fun-filled and joyous atmosphere. The festival also houses a charity concert, forums and workshops for music lovers providing them with a learning experience and a platform to exchange views.
Pesta Dragon Boat Race
12 – 13 December 2015
Teluk Bahang Dam, Penang
This event is held in conjunction with the Penang Island Festival and it is a tradition to honour the “spirit of the dragon” and the spirit of unity as they work together as a team for one common purpose. Enjoy a weekend of pulsating thrills and spill to the tune of the vigorous beating of drums, the strong thrust of oars and various stage performances as the dragon boat teams battle it out in the water to be champions.
Royal Langkawi International Regatta 2016

A premier sailing event organised by the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club. With a lovely backdrop of greenery and beaches, racing in Langkawi is a pleasure.
