Sydney Airport Passenger Services

There are Help Desks in both the Arrival and Departure Halls of T1. If you need assistance simply finding your way around, cast around for one of the Gold Ambassadors – volunteers who wear bright gold jackets and who offer their time and service because they enjoy meeting and helping visitors to the airport. If they don’t know the answer, they can probably find someone who does.

A Commissionaire’s Desk is located in T3, available to passengers requiring wheelchair or transfer assistance to their departure gate. The Commissionaire Desk can be found at the Departure Level (Level 1), behind the check-in counters.

Tourism information on tours, accommodation and bus transfers, is available in the Sydney Airport arrivals hall next to baggage carousel 5.

Baggage Trolleys at Sydney Airport

If you are departing via Sydney and need a trolley, make sure you have some change. Baggage trolleys will cost you A$4 per trolley (coins only). The hire stalls are located on the ground floor outside, before entering the terminal.

For passengers arriving into Sydney, trolleys are located in the baggage reclaim hall following Customs processing, and are free of charge.

Internet at Kingsford Smith Airport

Sydney Airport provides free internet at certain terminals - look out for the yellow machines in both the departure and arrival halls of T1. A public wireless network using industry standard 802.11b WiFi technology provides coverage in and around T1 and T2.

Cash and Currency at Kingsford Smith Airport

There are ATMs located throughout Sydney Airport at both arrival and departure levels, before and after the security check points. Foreign currency can be bought at Travelex, located in front of Gate 3, Terminal 1.
