Transportation to and from Perth Airport (PER)

Perth Airport is accessible via the Great Eastern and Tonkin Highways. Public transport buses service the domestic airport, with transfers to Terminal 1 (International) by use of an inter-terminal transfer bus or taxi. The Transperth website provides a guide to travelling in Perth with a useful journey planner.

Taxis at Perth Airport

Taxi ranks are located outside the Terminals, and commissionaires are on hand to assist passengers during peak periods.

There is a A$2.00 ground transport charge for taxis leaving each of the terminals, which is applied to improving ground transport infrastructure. A one way fare to Perth CBD should be in the vicinity of A$25.00. The fare will vary of course, depending on your destination. A single fare to Fremantle, for example, will cost around A$50.00-55.00. It is possible that you will be asked to pay the fare in advance, and the same fare applies to whether there is one or a group. There is no extra charge for luggage.

Perth Airport Bus Services

There are a number of bus and shuttle services providing transport to and from the Airport terminals.

Terminal 1 (International) is not serviced by Transperth – a gap which is filled by private operators.

Perth Airport Shuttle has pick-up points near hotels, motels and hostels in and around Perth. A shuttle meets every international and domestic arrival.

The City Shuttle bus service operates between Perth’s CBD and Terminal 2. Information on prices, schedules and bookings can be found on the City Shuttle website.

The Fremantle Airporter provides transport for passengers into and out of Fremantle. The Scarborough Airport shuttle is operated by Sunset Coast tours and operates 7 days a week.

Schedules, fares and contacts can be obtained via Perth Airport’s Buses and Shuttles Page.

Public bus and train schedules to the domestic terminal can be obtained in the same location, or by visiting the Transperth website.

If you are pre-booking accommodation, check to see whether this includes a complimentary pick-up and drop-off service.

Short and Long Term Parking at Perth Airport

Perth Airport has short and long term carparks adjacent to the terminals. These carparks have lifts and other access facilities required by disabled customers and customers with children.

Secure long-term parking options are also offered by ‘Airport Parking’. This car park is open weekdays from 06.30 to 17.00. Online pre-booking is required. There is a free on-demand shuttle service, ensuring that once your car is parked, you will be taken immediately to your airport terminal. On your return, your car will be brought to the airport, parked conveniently nearby, and your keys and car’s location left with the Budget rent-a-car desk. For quotes, directions and bookings visit the Airport Parking website.

Please don’t park your car in front of the terminal and then leave it to collect your passengers. Any unattended vehicles will be subject to a fine and may be towed off. You only have a couple of minutes in which to pick-up and drop-off your passengers, otherwise, use the short term carpark.

Parking options at Terminals 2 and 3 (Domestic), are short term, long term and fastrack. All options are clearly marked and there is no need to pre-book.

Information regarding parking options can be found on the Perth Airport's Parking Page.
