Sichuan Airlines is a regional airline headquartered on the grounds of Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport in Chengdu, Sichuan in China, and is owned by the Sichuan provincial government and China Southern Airlines. Sichuan Airlines operates mainly domestic flights out of Chengdu Airport and Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport.

Sichuan Airlines introduced long-haul routes to its network in June 2012, starting with direct flights to Vancouver, Canada. The airline recently also added flights from Melbourne to Chengdu, China, three times a week and Sydney to Chongqing twice a week.

Fleet

The average age of Sichuan Airlines fleet is 6.3 years, with the majority consisting of the Airbus A319-100, Airbus A320-200 and Airbus A321-200.

Sichuan Airlines operates the Airbus A330-200 on routes from Melbourne to Chengdu, with lie-flat seats in business class.

Destinations

Sichuan Airlines currently operates domestic flights between major cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. The airline further offers short-haul flights to neighbouring countries South Korea and Taiwan, and South East Asian countries Indonesia and Vietnam.

The airlines long haul routes include flights from China to Melbourne & Sydney, Australia and Vancouver, Canada.
