Check-In Information

Airport Check-In

Scoot check-in counters open 3 hours before departures on B787 aircraft and 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of flights on A320 aircraft. Check-in closes 60 minutes prior to scheduled departure for all flights. All passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to departure in order to complete check-in procedures.

Self-Service Kiosks

Scoot has self check-in kiosks located at Singapore Changi Airport and Melbourne Airport. The kiosks in Singapore are available for use from 18 hours and up until 70 minutes before scheduled departure times. The self-service functionality is available from 3 hours up until 65 minutes before departures leaving from Melbourne Airport.

Online Check-In

Scoot's online check-in is currently only available for flights departing from Singapore, Sydney, Gold Coast, Perth, Seoul, Japan and Berlin. Passengers departing from these destinations cannot check-in online if they are continuing onto a second destination via connecting flights. Scoot's online check-in opens 75 hours prior to flight departure and closes 1 hour before scheduled departure.
Online check-in is only available for individual or group travellers (including travel agent bookings), guests with only carry-on or check-in baggage, and bookings made through flyscoot.com, Scoot Call Centre or 3rd party travel websites.

Baggage

Carry-On Baggage

Scoot Economy Class passengers are permitted to two items of carry-on baggage, with a combined weight of up to 10kg. Economy Class passengers may purchase an extra 7kg carry-on baggage allowance. ScootPlus passengers may also carry two items, with a combined weight not exceeding 15kg. These two items may include either a laptop or handbag. All carry-on baggage must adhere to 54cm x 38cm x 23cm dimensions.

Checked Baggage

Scoot's Economy passengers (FlyBag and FlyBagEat) are permitted 20kg of checked baggage, and Scoot Business passengers (ScootPlus) can check baggage weighing up to 30kg. All passengers can purchase an additional allowance of up to 40kg of baggage online, however a single checked bag cannot exceed 32kg. The sum of the length, width and height of each checked bag should not exceed 158cm.

KrisFlyer

Scoot is an affiliate of the Singapore Airlines' loyalty program, KrisFlyer. KrisFlyer members can earn miles flying with Scoot and more than 30 partner airlines, including Singapore Airlines and SilkAir. Travelling with Scoot earns you one mile for every $1 SGD spent, and travelling on mixed itineraries with a leg not operated by Scoot may also earn you miles according to route and fare type. KrisFlyer miles can be redeemed on Scoot airfares too, and miles can be mixed with cash to offset any purchase. KrisFlyer members can also earn miles from more than 200 non-airline partners worldwide including banks, hotels, travel services and retail.

Lounges

Passengers may purchase Scoot-in-Style passes in order to access the Scoot Lounge located at Singapore Changi Airport. The Scoot Lounge is found in the SATS Premier Lounge Departure Transit Hall in Terminal 2, and features include snacks, beverages, WiFi, shower facilities, workstations, massage chairs, magazines and newspapers. A Scoot-in-Style pass offers 3-hour access to the Lounge and is available to passengers departing or transiting in Singapore. A 6-hour access pass is available for those travelling on connecting flights booked within the same itinerary.

In-Flight Experience

In-Flight Entertainment

Scoot's in-flight entertainment is available for purchase on-board B787 fleet aircraft for Fly, FlyBag and FlyBagEat passengers. ScootPlus passengers may stream movies and TV shows to their own devices where available.

Dining

Meals are not included in Scoot Fly and FlyBag fares, but may be purchased online or on-board for an additional fee. Scoot FlyBagEat passengers receive a hot meal while in-flight, and ScootPlus passengers receive a premium meal with choice of beverage (including alcoholic beverages) as part of their airfare.
The Scoot in-flight meal menu includes options such as nasi lemak, chicken tikka masala, beef and mushroom lasagne, and madras curry with basmati rice. Passengers can buy wraps, filled croissants, sandwiches, ice cream and chips for a light meal. And, if you're travelling for a special occasion, Scoot offer an indulgent chocolate cherry mousse cake that can be ordered in advance. Meals are not halal certified unless stated.

Cabin Class

Economy Class

Passengers travelling in Scoot's Economy Class have the option to add-on to their seat, from extras such as meals, checked baggage allowance, WiFi and additional legroom. These extras can be purchased individually, or may be included as part of a value bundle such as FlyBag or FlyBagEat. FlyBag provides Economy passengers with their seat and 20kg of checked baggage, and a FlyBagEat fare includes an economy seat, 20kg of checked baggage, and a hot meal with a beverage.
For flights operated on Boeing 787 Dreamliners, the average Scoot Economy seat pitch is 31 inches; the seat width average is 18 inches. The Economy seats on Airbus 320 services average 20.5-inch pitch and 28-inch width. Economy Class passengers may upgrade to Super seats that have adjustable headrests and up to 34-inch seat pitch, or Stretch seats, which come with 34-inch pitch, adjustable headrests and front row location.
Scoot also offers a ScootinSilence zone, an exclusive and silent cabin located at the front of each 787 Dreamliner. The seats here have adjustable headrests, and are available to reserve in Super or Stretch where available.

Business Class

Scoot's Business Class tickets, known as ScootPlus, promises comfortable leather seats with double the legroom, a premium meal with a choice of beverage (includes alcoholic beverages), priority check-in and boarding, and in-seat power ports, depending on the aircraft ScootPlus passengers also receive 30MB of complimentary WiFi to stream movies and TV shows where available. The ScootPlus seats on Boeing 787 aircraft have at least 38 inches of legroom, 22 inches seat width, up to 6 inches seat recline, and fully adjustable headrests and legrests.
