New business class seat: more personal space, supreme comfort

A unique new full-flat seat is the centerpiece of KLM’s new World Business Class, developed by Dutch design icon Hella Jongerius in close corporation with KLM suppliers. By combining artisanal and industrial production techniques, Hella Jongerius created a seat that exudes personal attention, while at the same time meeting all functional requirements. The seat offers more privacy and individuality for the passenger, herewith providing a “home feeling”.

The positioning of the new seats in the cabin, the palette of warm colours that differ per seat, and many smart design elements provi de supreme comfort and more personal space for passengers. Together with the bigger soft pillows and luxurious new materials, the new Business Class offers a warm and friendly atmosphere. For this reason the designers like to refer to it as “KLM’s new feel-at-home class”. The new World Business Class will be put in service from Hong Kong at the end of October and March 2014 from Narita. (Tokyo).
