Overview

A low-cost airline based in the Philippines, Cebu Pacific is Asia’s oldest budget airline. Founded in 1988 and commencing operations in 1996, the airline operates primarily within Asia, but also services several destinations across Australia and the Middle East. Servicing dozens of destinations across the Philippines and beyond, Cebu Pacific’s network is extensive for its size.

Pre-Flight Information

Airport check-in

Airport counter check-in closes 60 minutes prior to departure for most Cebu Pacific flights. Self-serve check-in kiosks are also available at select airports, opening up to eight hours before the scheduled flight departure time. Travellers wishing to use a kiosk must have their booking reference number, and will still need to take their luggage to a Bag Drop counter.

Passengers with tickets for a red-eye flight (departing after midnight) must complete check-in before the date listed on their itinerary receipt.

Online check-in

Online check-in is available for both Cebu Pacific’s domestic flights and the airline’s international services. Passengers may check-in for international flights online anywhere between seven days and four hours before their scheduled flight departure time. Online check-in for domestic flights opens seven days before the scheduled flight departure date and closes one hour prior.

Baggage

Cebu offers a range of baggage options depending on traveller flight class and destination.

Cabin baggage

Passengers travelling with Cebu Pacific receive a carry-on baggage allowance of 7kg. Carry-on luggage is limited to one piece per person, with each piece measuring at less than 56cm x 36cm x 23cm.

Checked baggage

Passengers must book and prepay for any checked baggage up to two hours prior to departure. There are three tiers of prepaid baggage available: one piece weighing up to 20kg, one piece weighing up to 32kg or two pieces weighing up to a maximum of 40kg. Each piece of checked baggage must not contain fragile or valuable items, or weigh more than 32kg. Strollers and walking sticks may be checked for free.

In-flight entertainment

Cebu Pacific does not currently offer in-flight entertainment on their flights, however, a CEB WiFi Kit can be purchased prior to departure should passengers wish to travel with their own devices.

Dining

Meals are not included in Cebu Pacific’s base airfares but may be purchased either when booking or when in the air. The available selection differs between meal times but includes dishes such as sandwiches, pasta, beef adobo, and more. Light snacks and beverages are also available. All meals served by Cebu Pacific are Halal certified.
 

Cabin Classes

Cebu Pacific only operates one flight class. However, the airline does offer three different fare types: GO Basic which includes cabin baggage only; GO EASY which includes both cabin baggage and 20kg of prepaid checked baggage; and GO FLEXI which includes cabin baggage, 20kg of prepaid checked baggage and free flight cancellations.

Meals and checked baggage allowances are not included in Cebu Pacific’s base fare and must be purchased separately. Checked baggage allowances can be purchased in a variety of weights, including 20kg, 32kg and 40kg allowances.
