Cebu Pacific Air


A low-cost airline based in the Philippines, Cebu Pacific Air is Asia’s oldest budget airline. Founded in 1988 and commencing operations in 1996, the airline operates primarily within Asia, but also services several destinations across Australia and the Middle East. With 37 Philippine and 26 international destinations to choose from, Cebu Pacific Air’s network is extensive for its size.


Pre-Flight Information

Check-In Information

Check-in closes 45 minutes prior to departure for most Cebu Air Pacific flights. There are also self-serve check-in kiosks that are open up to 8 hours before flight departure. Travellers wishing to use a kiosk must have their booking reference number, and will still need to take their luggage to a Bag Drop counter.


Red-Eye Flights

Passengers with tickets for a red-eye flight (departing after midnight) must complete check-in before the date listed on their itinerary receipt.


Cebu Pacific Online Check-In

Online check-in is available for both Cebu Pacific Air’s domestic flights and the airline’s international services. Passengers may check-in for international flights from between 7seven days up until 4 hours before the scheduled flight departure time. Online check-in for domestic flights is open from 7 days and up until 1 hour before flight departure.

Some exceptions to general Cebu AIr Pacific check-in policy are listed below:


Flights Departing Dubai

Passengers departing Dubai with Cebu Pacific Air must check-in at least 1 hour before the flight’s scheduled departure time.


Flights Departing Shanghai

Check-in for flights departing Shanghai closes 50 minutes prior to the flight departure time.



Carry-On Baggage

Passengers travelling with Cebu Pacific Air receive a carry-on baggage allowance of 7kg. Carry-on luggage is limited to one piece per person, and must adhere to the dimension specifics


Checked Baggage Allowance

Passengers must book and prepay for any checked baggage up to 4 hours prior to departure. Passengers are permitted one piece of prepaid baggage each. There are three tiers of prepaid baggage available: Standard (20kg), Large (32kg), and Large Plus (40kg). Strollers and walking sticks may be checked for free. There are additional charges for excess baggage, surfboards and sports equipment.

In-Flight Experience

Cebu Pacific Air do not currently offer in-flight entertainment on their flights, however a WiFi Kit can be purchased prior to departure should passengers wish to bring their own devices on-board.



Meals are not included for Cebu Pacific Air base airfares, but are available as part of a bundled FLY + BAGGAGE + MEAL fare. Passengers may also opt to add-on a meal to their base airfare, either for one or multiple legs. The available selection differs between meal times, but includes dishes such as sandwiches, beef salpicao, Hainanese chicken rice, and more. Some Halal and vegetarian options are also available. Meals may be pre-ordered online at least 24 hours prior to departure.


Cabin Class

Cebu Pacific Air only operates one flight class. However, the airline does offer three different fare types: FLY ONLY that includes carry-on luggage; FLY + BAGGAGE that includes carry-on luggage and 20kg of prepaid checked baggage; and FLY + BAGGAGE + MEAL that includes carry-on luggage, 20kg of prepaid checked baggage and a pre-ordered meal.

Meals and baggage allowance are not included in the Cebu Pacific Air Economy Class base fare and must be purchased separately. Cebu Pacific Air baggage can be purchased in a variety of weights, including 20kg, 32kg and 40kg allowances.
