FAQs

Who can apply for Zip?

To be eligible for Zip, all you need is:

a valid email address and mobile number
to be at least 18 years old
be an Australian Citizen or Permanent resident, and
have a good credit history

Why is Zip not showing at checkout?

Zip is not eligible for bookings for hotels where payment is made at the hotel or listed as ‘Pay Later’ on site; or Webjet bookings containing ‘Things to Do’ bookings or car hire; Webjet Gift Cards, and travel insurance purchased separately/ standalone via insurance.webjet.com.au. If your checkout contains one of these exclusions then Zip will not show as a payment option.

In order to make a payment with Zip, remove non-eligible items to process your payment.

How are repayments made?

Pay nothing on the day of purchase. Zip will automatically charge your repayments to the payment method on your Zip account. You can keep track of your Zip account and manage your repayments by signing into Zip or using the Zip app.

Zip Pay repayments start from $10/week^**
Zip Money repayments start from $10/week or 3% of the outstanding balance (whichever is greater). Purchases over $300 are automatically split into equal instalments to help you avoid interest charges.^***

What fees are associated if I checkout with Zip?

A 1% Webjet payment fee will apply at the time of booking when Zip Pay or Zip Money is used.

Zip account management fees apply:

Zip Pay has a $9.95/mth account fee or $0 if nothing owing
Zip Money has a $9.95/mth account fee or $0 if nothing owing; and interest rate to 25.9% as at 1 June 2023. A one off establishment fee up to $99 may also apply for new Zip customers.

What happens if I cancel my booking?

If your Webjet booking is eligible for cancellation or refund, the original form of payment will be refunded. If Zip has been used for payment, the refunded amount will be credited to your Zip account balance.
