Keen to attract the business traveller, status levels were introduced as an enhancement, to provide greater recognition and reward to Virgin Blue’s frequent flyers. The status levels – Red, Silver and Gold, provide members with different benefits and earn rates.
Greater Rewards for Silver & Gold Velocity Members
Gold and Silver Velocity members are entitled to priority check-in at selected domestic airports and priority phone service through the Velocity Membership Contact Centre. Gold members will also receive complimentary membership to The Lounge and an increased baggage allowance. Silver members will receive a complimentary visit to The Lounge and access to a discounted annual Lounge membership fee.
Velocity points accrue at rates that vary depending on the Member’s status level. The status credit system essentially means a double benefit for members, who will be rewarded for each and every transaction they make with selected Velocity program partners.
