Commenting further, Webjet Managing Director, David Clarke said:
Webjet has completed a truly amazing year and delivered on its business plans. We are delighted with the results and consider that they validate our business model.
More significantly, the new financial year has commenced trading very strongly with gross transaction values in July of $10.9 million and August of $12.5 million (estimate ) a total of $23.4 million compared with $6.9 million last year), and importantly a projected maintenance of gross profit margins in the changed domestic commission environment depending on the future mix of business.
Whilst no forecasts are made at this time, we are extremely pleased with the start of the new financial year.
