Webjet Extends Market Footprint

Webjet - Australia's multi award winning online travel service, believes that the latest Hitwise data for the week ending 3 June 2006 confirms that there is now no measurable difference between the web site traffic of Webjet and Flight Centre.
Commenting Webjet Marketing Manager, Dean Maidment, says
"The gap between the two companies' relative positions in the travel agents' category is now so small that it starts to become statistically insignificant. Not only have we continued to gain market share over the past three months but with our forthcoming Channel 7 television campaign and other associated media beginning in mid July, we should see our site activity propel even further. I'd be astonished if, during the course of the Channel 7 promotion, Webjet did not sit prominently at the top of the table
