WEBJET CONFIRMS JULY SALES TREND - Month record $10.9 million

Webjet - Australia's Multi Award Winning Online Travel Service today confirmed that the preliminary July sales trend advised to the market on 15 July has continued.
Commenting further, Webjet Managing Director, David Clarke said:
The very strong start to July continued unabated for the full month and produced a billing result of $10.9 million compared with $9.3 million for June, an increase of 17% for the month, and compares with $3.04 million for the same month last year, an increase of over 350%.
The increase has been achieved despite strong direct airline promotions and strongly validates our business model to the extent that for the quarter ended 30 June 2005, Webjet's site ranking according to Hitwise rated No. 1 of travel agency sites, beating all comers including Flight Centres.
Passengers booked in July were approximately 37,000, the equivalent of 3 jumbos a day.
