JUNE SALES EXCEED $9 MILLION - All time monthly record

Webjet today announced gross transaction values of $9.3 million for June, an all time monthly record.
This represents an increase of approximately 400% on June last year total of $2.3 million, and continues the trend of the quarter to 30 June 2005 which has totalled $23.6 million.
On a year to date basis, gross transaction values now total $76.6 million compared with $20.6 million last year, an increase of over 370%.
Commenting further, Webjet Managing Director, David Clarke said:
"As the market is aware, Webjet has, over the last year, reported monthly turnover figures. In order to ensure the market remains fully informed during the new financial year 2005/2006, but with appropriate regard to our growing size and market position, we intend to move to quarterly reporting from 1 July.
We intend, each quarter, to provide the market with:
- Gross transaction values
- Our 4c filings, and importantly
- A profit market guidance figure (for the current quarter)
We believe this will provide the market with maximum transparency."
